Hands-on Review: Sony Xperia X1

It’s not an iPhone, and for many that’s half the appeal: Sony’s $800 (unlocked) Xperia X1 is the most expensive mainstream cell phone on the market, but it’s one of the sexiest handsets around that doesn’t start with an “i” and end in “phone.” The main X1 interface is unlike any other handset you’ve tried, and you’ll notice the difference immediately as you punch into the XPanel home screen, a custom dashboard that lets you quickly — and stylishly — jump from one application to another.

Find The Lowest Price With BeatMyPrice.com [Shopping]

BeatMyPrice is a new great price-comparison site launched by the makers of retailmenot and bugmenot. Just type in the product name, the website where you found it, the price, and check if it can be found elsewhere, using both searchbots and the results entered by other users. If your price is the best one, then it becomes the new best price for that product. Nifty idea, and a very easy to use interface. The one thing is that you’ll probably want to check the lowest price retailers you find with resellerratings.com to check out their reputations first before finalizing your purchase. Google Chases Skype With New Gmail Video Chat

Video chat service Skype has some new competition — Google has just added audio and video chat to Gmail. The new chat tools essentially offer most of the features of Skype, or Apple’s iChat, within the standard Gmail interface.
